You can very easily swap the calm of Plat for the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik or Cavtat.
Its location between them, and the closeness (only 15 km to Dubrovnik and 7 to Cavtat), make Plat the ideal place to explore these two jewels of the southern Adriatic.
Getting there is still more enjoyable if you take the sea route instead of the road, and taste the pleasures of sailing.
Contentment nothing the smaller is given by the Dubrovnik island group - the famed Elafit islands, and then the farmhouses of Konavle, the island of Mljet and the Neretva River Delta.
Your precious time needs well organising for these fantastic places to be enjoyed if only for a moment, it's such a shame to miss out on anything.
But as things usually are, the truth is a lot simpler.
Plat is a place you will have to come to again.
